Best for Street: Its ISO 400 speed makes faster shutter speeds possible, making it well suited to spontaneous urban scenes and moving subjects. People: Its bold tones and good detail rendition lend themselves to expressive portraits, especially in documentary and reportage settings. Everyday: It tolerates exposure variations well, making it a reliable choice for capturing daily life in a range of situations.
Look & feel Punchy: Deep blacks, pronounced differences between light and shadow and distinctive grain give it a classic, dramatic black-and-white look.
Lighting Mixed light: It works well in sunshine, overcast weather and shade, while handling minor exposure inaccuracies reasonably well. Indoors: It can be used without flash when there is enough natural or artificial light. In dimmer conditions, exposures can also be made at an ISO 1600 camera setting with appropriately extended development, at the cost of some detail.
Grain Normal: Its traditional grain structure is clearly recognisable, especially in 35 mm photographs. Grain appears more subdued in images made from larger 120 negatives.
