Harman - Ilford HP5 400/27

The Harman–Ilford HP5 Plus is a single-use 35 mm film camera for black-and-white photography. Its simple operation requires no separate photographic settings.

Camera Features

Best for

Everyday and street photography: Suitable for photographing street scenes, everyday situations and outings in daylight.

Social gatherings: Also suitable for photographing family and friends at gatherings, small groups and portraits.

Taking photos and handling

The 30 mm lens has fixed focus, so no focusing adjustment is needed. The usable subject distance ranges from 1 metre to infinity; for portraits, a distance of at least 2 metres is recommended. After each exposure, the film must be advanced manually to the next frame.

Flash

Yes: The built-in flash has a range of up to 3 metres. To activate the flash, press and hold its button until the ready indicator lights up.

Film and Processing

The camera is preloaded with ISO 400 ILFORD HP5 PLUS black-and-white negative film for 27 exposures. The film requires conventional black-and-white processing and cannot be developed using the C-41 process.

After all exposures have been taken, the entire camera should be handed over to a photo lab that can remove and develop the film. The camera is not reloadable.
