Film Characteristics

Best for:
People: Its fine grain and rich tonal range work especially well for portraits taken in natural light.
Landscape: Good detail rendition and fine grain make it particularly suitable for landscape photography in daylight.

Look & feel:
Natural: Its rich gray tones and balanced tonal range produce a natural-looking black-and-white image without an overly punchy or soft character.

Lighting:
Bright daylight: ISO 100 works well in sunny conditions, while lower light may require slower shutter speeds or additional lighting.

Grain:
Fine: Its small grain structure helps preserve fine image details, particularly with correct exposure and development.

Contrast:
Normal: Light and dark areas remain clearly separated without an inherently harsh contrast. Development and scanning can also influence the final appearance.
